Treatment Approach

Seeking help takes courage. The rewards can be life-changing. My goal is to create a safe place for you to confront and overcome the difficulties in your life.

I have a flexible style that draws on several therapeutic schools of thought. I can help you:
  • Remove obstacles that prevent you from living a full and rich life
  • Build self-esteem and self-acceptance
  • Understand how your personal history may affect your current feelings and behavior
  • Find new solutions for difficult issues and situations
  • Stop negative thinking and self-defeating behaviors
  • Reduce feelings of depression and sadness
  • Use stress and anxiety constructively
  • Communicate better to repair broken relationships
  • Learn new skills and behaviors that get you the results you want
  • Bring passion and enjoyment back to your life
  • Navigate life changes successfully
I am results-oriented.  I take an active role in therapy—offering suggestions and challenging distorted thinking as appropriate. In addition to talk therapy, I may incorporate therapeutic exercises, quizzes, role-playing and other creative means to stimulate change during sessions.

Therapy is a partnership. My aim will be to harness your individual strengths and talents as we address your problems and struggles. I bring expertise, compassion and an intuitive nature to the process. In return, I ask for your openness, honesty and willingness to explore new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Working together we can bring greater satisfaction, peace and happiness in your life.
